Although it sounds strange there is a place in the world where this day is celebrated with full justification. This an a celebration that takes place in the town of Itagui - Antioquia, this is the most densely populated city in Colombia and where more than 7300 companies of which the majority of people are or were employed there.
This celebration is not an apology for leisure, or by not working, this is a celebration of the just and deserved break that takes place the last weekend of August, in which people take their chairs, beds and blankets to street and make the stew to accompany the celebration.
They also cultural and sports activities, I think the funniest is the race of rollaway beds, which are decorated and rewarded for their ingenuity and creativity.
This party achieved an integration of the locals of the city and an environment of complete rest to begin again the week with joy.
