“Aguinaldo Boyacense” The Biggest Party from Boyacá to Colombia.





“Aguinaldo Boyacense” is the oldest celebration of the country. Since 1955 it has been a big religious and cultural event that identifies the region and makes part of its history.


This event takes place in Tunja, the capital of the Boyacá Department, on December 16th to 22th and in his main park: “Plaza de Bolivar” almost all its inhabitants meet themselves during 7 days to enjoy and have fun. Almost 20 local, national and international bands and orchestras amuse the people and make the environment much better.

In this event there are a lot of activities to do; since float parades until big popular concert and parties. The float parades are the most spectacular element, where creativity, beautiful, movements, colors, sounds and lights take place. These ones get into the feelings of the public, because their legendary, mythological and religious messages typical of Boyacenses.
