THE MANIZALES FAIR

The Manizales fair is recognized for its bullfighting season and the international queen of coffe,this fair have spanish roots, imitating some of their customs, but also with many colombian customs , especially in the andina región , the fair beging the first weekendof the year and ends the next ,the festival have cultural,artisitic,and sporting activities . the fair was appointed in 2006 as nation’s cltural heritage.

Its history started in 1954, when Oscar Botero walked the streets of the feria on april in Sevilla , he had a big dream called the Manizales fair , and he could make his dream supported by the manizalez major Mario Escobari in that time , the fair was a success to celebrate the bicentenary of the city ,so the shows were growing like the international queen of coffe,and the bullfighting season become the main event .

Tha fair has become a great event , where foreing people and colombian people can share and enjoy the Manizales tradition.

Events are classified by type, in this case they are classified as parades, exhibitions and the different stages and performances.

Parades:

.parade carretas del rocio , where participants of the international coffe are shown dressed in sevillanas .
