SNOW AND ICE FESTIVA

In the Harvin city in northwest of China during the wave of cold to a temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius, even the temperature can get minus 40 degrees Celsius, is celebrated “the snow and ice festival” which take place from January 5 until the end February, this is one of majors festivals of carved from ice in the world. It presents a number of activities which are related with the ice (sculpture competitions and some sports).

The festival attracts hundreds of local and foreign tourists who enjoy in their winter vacation with a series of activities like ice skating, ski, hockey, or simply they enjoy with the wonderful winter landscape. But the most interesting in the festival are the fantastic sculptures and buildings made in ice, which are lit with lights at night. These lights are embedded within blocks of ice. And other fantastic attraction are the ice lamps which are a folk art. This year was built more than 2000 sculptures

Every year, more than 1.000 people gather in Medellin, for the Cosplay Medellin. The Cosplay Medellin, which is an event that congregates the anime, manga, and video games enthusiastic through costumes, takes place every October.

In the Cosplay, which name means costume player, the people used a costume called cosplay and played the role of the character that they are representing.

In the event they present several things, like a live band, shows, choreographers, and the award for the best costume of the night, that wins $500.000. In addition they have special stores, which sell products of anime, photos stands, food, beverages, and the opportunity of share a good time with your friends.
